The little cooking show that could

A year and a half and over 7,000 hits later the pilot episode of CHS remains the most viewed poke (pronounced po-kay) related video on youtube.  Not too bad for a haole from Massachusetts.  After another viewing of Cooking Hawaiian Style episode 1, and demanding some food photos from my friend living in Japan I was inspired to continue the CHS mission.

The mission of CHS was to cook Hawaiian food with mainland ingredients.  CHS was a fusion of necessity.  Living on Maui now for 10 months, I've been exposed to a whole new wonderful food culture.  Many of the ingredients out here are simply amazing, and have inspired me to create some excellent Hawaiian and Asian dishes.  So my new mission is to share these new recipes with you, so you can make them for yourselves at home or inspire you to create some of your own.

Cooking Hawaiian Style, a Photo+Video Blog

Hello all,

After a long hiatus, I've decided to resurrect Cooking Hawaiian Style as a photo+video blog.  I live in Maui now and work full time as a photographer, and sometimes videographer.  I'd like to share my love for food and the capture.  This isn't much of an inaugural post, but duty calls at the Lahaina Harbor, so I'll be posting Photos and video in the very near future.  Aloha.
